Here is a brief excerpt of what I will be sharing at the CLG Leadership Training Night this Sunday Night. I hope you are planning to join us (event info is listed under my events on Facebook). Hit me up if you have any questions!

BUILDING BIG BY GOING SMALL

Small Groups are one of the most potent weapons we have in our arsenal for building the Kingdom of God. As we seek to grow the Church and advance the cause of Christ, I believe it is vital that small groups stay an essential part of our platform.

Small Groups breakdown barriers like GEOGRAPHY, LIFESTAGE, and SCHEDULE.
-At Champions Centre, we have many people in our Church who have a long commute to one of our campuses. They love coming - Champions Centre is their home. But they want to meet people from their geographic area to connect with. Imagine with me the regional impact we could have through small groups. The barrier of geography can be torn down through small groups!

-When people come to Church, they look for people who look like themselves. This is why diversity is vital! We want every type of person to be able to connect at Church, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender or background. Small groups give everyone a chance to connect and use their voice.

-We have a vision to have small groups meet in every city, every night of the week. The more hosts and open groups we have, the more opportunities we have for people to connect regardless of schedule.

A SOCIAL MANDATE...
Americans today have a deficit of Social space (spaces of approx 8-20 people, where early friendships are formed). As Americans continue to cocoon, and value privacy and security in an increasing measure, social spaces are taking a hit. When social relationships breakdown, so do all subsequent relationships (personal and intimate). There is a deficit of places for people to connect as new friends. SMALL GROUPS CAN ANSWER THIS!

A MATTER OF WORLDVIEW...
-Only 4% of Christians have a Biblical worldview.
-Christians with a Biblical Worldview are twice as likely to read the bible as Christians without a Biblical Worldview.
-Christians with a Biblical Worldview are 33% more likely to attend church as Christians without Biblical Worldview.
-Christians with a Biblical Worldview are 50% more likely to volunteer as Christians without a Biblical Worldview.

A MATTER OF CHURCH GROWTH...
Our challenge in the Church is usually not as much getting new people through our front doors, as it is retaining people who have already arrived.

Our aim through Champion Life Groups is to EQUIP PEOPLE. Relationships will form when we gather around a cause - to become true disciples of Jesus Christ who are growing personally, and reaching out to the world around us.

I hope you are a part of the vital and growing community we call CHAMPION LIFE GROUPS!
